Our "Cibolo - American Bison Collection".

"Cibolo" was the early Texas and New Mexico word for American Bison (Buffalo) when exploration by the Spanish of what we know today as Texas and New Mexico began in the early 1600's. Santa Fe was founded in 1607. Many creeks in Texas are named "Cibolo" denoting an American Bison watering hole from the 1600's until the late 1800's.

Cibolo - American Bison Collection.

"Cibolo" was the name for the American Bison (Buffalo) used by both the Spanish and the Americans that were early entrants into New Mexico and Texas as early as 1607 when Santa Fe, New Mexico was founded.

Many creeks in Texas are named "Cibolo" signifying a watering hole for the American Bison in frontier Texas.
